If you already help a family member or loved one with daily care, you may be able to turn the care you provide into a paycheck through Michigan's Medicaid Home Help Program.

Basic Requirements

To become a caregiver with Alpha Care Michigan, you generally must:

✓ Be 18 years of age or older

✓ Be willing and able to provide the authorized care your client needs

✓ Have a loved one or client who is eligible for Michigan Medicaid and approved for Home Help services

✓ Complete the required Michigan Medicaid caregiver enrollment through CHAMPS

✓ Complete the required criminal history screening

✓ Complete required onboarding and training with Alpha Care

✓ Follow Michigan Home Help program requirements, including service verification and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) when required

You Don't Have to Be a Professional Caregiver

You don't necessarily need to have years of caregiving experience or work for a healthcare company.

Michigan's Home Help program allows eligible providers to include family members, friends, neighbors, and agency caregivers.
